3 Choose a dance role (except Newcomers Special)

Partnered dancing takes two people with two different roles, commonly referred to as leader and follower. Dancers in the Newcomers Special track will get to try both and pick one during class. For other tracks, we ask that you pick a role and stick with it for all the track classes.

Pass transfer / Refund policy

In order to be able to offer low early-bird pricing, we have to keep a “no refund” policy. We do however allow name transfers on registrations or deferring your pass for one year with the following conditions:

same track/role,
free until January 31st 2024 midnight,
for a $25 fee until February 19th 2024 midnight,
no more pass transfers after February 19th 2024.

When you sign up for our classes, come to our events …

By signing up, attending and/or participating in dance classes, dance party, or any event or program, current or future, organized by The Breakaway Swing LLC and/or Swingin’ at the Savoy at any location, you hereby agree to the following:

1. You recognize that dancing requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and you are fully aware of the risks and hazards involved. You have explained these risks to any minors you accompany.

2. You represent and warrant that you, and any minors you sign up and/or accompany, are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent your full participation in the dance classes, dance party, or any event or program.

3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the dance classes, dance party, or any event or program, you agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which you, or the minors you sign up and/or accompany, might incur as a result of attending and/or participating.

4. You authorize The Breakaway Swing LLC and Swingin’ at the Savoy to use any photo or video in which you, or any minors you sign up and/or accompany, may appear, for promotional purposes and video distribution, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership.

5. In consideration of being permitted to attend and/or participate in the dance classes, dance party, or any event, you knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claims you may have against The Breakaway Swing LLC, Swingin’ at the Savoy, their staff, officers, employees, volunteers, independent contractors, for injury or damages that you or any minors you sign up and/or accompany may sustain, or anything else, as a result of attending and/or participating.

6. You acknowledge that The Breakaway Swing LLC, Swingin’ at the Savoy, their staff, officers, employees, volunteers, independent contractors, cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft of your belongings and/or property, at all locations, and that you are solely responsible for them.

We are running close to capacity for the Saturday evening dance.
